  The Center has been undertaking study projects on volcanic geology and mineral resources at the Southeast Continental Margin of China.It has also fufilled many important pro-blems on the regional geology which are essential to some key projects of the State and Ministry and also of the Natural Science Foundation. It has formed a characteristic branch of its own tradition.The center has published its compiled geological maps, such as 《East China's geological Map at a scale of 1:1000000》, 《Terrestial volcanic geological map of southeastern China》, etc .
