In order to promote the progress of the project ‘Oceania significant metallogenic belt metallogeny and potential evaluation of dominant mineral resources’, discuss the progress that have been made with the memoir on Oceania ,the seminar was held in Nanjing from 23^rd  to 26^th of May in Nanjing.

  The seminar was mainly focused on the memoir of “Oceania significant metallogenic belt metallogeny and potential evaluation of dominant mineral resources”, and then divided into three sections; the first is to make sure that the theme of the memoir is “the study of significant mineral resource metallogeny in Oceania”, clarified the orientation and service target of the memoir; secondly, put forwarded the requirements for writing and editing the memoir, the authenticity, validity and informative should be provided; thirdly, discussed the content of each journal article, determined the title of these journals, and suggested that the described typical ore deposit or metallogenic belt must be representative in the study area, and emphasized the importance of comparative study both international and domestic. In the end the seminar discussed the plan related to the publishment of the memoir and set the timeline.
